Class Room App Application.

Bare with me as I do not like writing in any format.  I am going to try to post about applications I am using or the ones I find out about in training.  Training for digital leadership is an interesting endeavor.  In the past couple of weeks, I've started using Apple Classroom and Class Kick. Really to get good using technology in the classroom it takes time. Initially, one needs time to explore all the features and possibilities. Once you have an idea how best to use the App in the class sometimes what is needed is to just start it and go with it. I use Google Classroom on a daily basis in my classroom.  This format is for my students to know what their assignments are and when they are due.  It is a useful tool, but I really like Class Kick for using in the classroom while they work to understand something.  You the teacher give them an assignment and the code for it.  You manage the class in real time and decide if they can help each other or not.  If they can help each other it is anonymous.  They can also ask you for help or you can see what they are doing while they do it.  It is a good source for checking for understanding as they are learning new concepts.  Another great app I've recently discovered is IPEVO. It is a whiteboard that you can bring in pictures or various things and also record video or just sound.  I am going to see if I can use this to record lessons for my students.  I'm hoping it works out nicely.  The next time I am on, I will report about how these are going, what I like and what I don't like about them.
